I picked up my dress from the alterer today! It still needs to be steamed to get the wrinkles out, but at least it's the right length! It also has the petticoat underneath it now so it poofs out more. :)

ATTENTION BRIDESMAIDS & GROOMSWOMAN

HEY GIRLS! Anna and I went to White House Black Market and found the bridesmaids dresses! Well, we found 2 to choose from and need opinions. This first one is our fav...

We also like this one. It's more formal and kinda goes with my dress a little...

The lady at WHBM said if I buy them through the store we can get a 5-10% discount on the dresses and they can ship them individually to each girl for free! So basically I'll just need everyone's size and I will go and order them soon.

Oh and we also love these shoes to go with them ...
We might have to have practice walking on grass sessions for these though. :)

Let me know your opinions on the dresses and if you can go try on one at WHBM that would be amazing. I want to order them soon so they don't go away.

Love you all!

It's me ... BRIDEZILLA!

Hey all my lerverly maids and matrons! It's Bridzilla herself. I've had a minor freakout moment this week about wedding planning and budgets, etc.. but MOB calmed me down and said everything will be ok. I wish you all lived here so we could get drinks and sit on the couch and talk endlessly about my wedding. Erin deserves a medal for all her Matron duties and dealing with me. :)

I'm so excited that I added Meredith to the line up. Now I've got all my bestest old friends, my matronly matron of honor, and my new friend!

I cant wait for the bachlorette party. When should we go? I figure since most of you have to fly in for my wedding in May, that we should go to Vegas sometime in March so there is some time in-between. We're trying to figure out what Erin will do with her baby while we are dancing and gambling the night away, and yes .. we might go see some naked men, just cause that's what your suppose to do right? Men in bright neon thongs? Gross me out.

Here are some other pics of the dress. I'm standing on a stool so it makes me look 6 ft tall, but makes the dress hang like it's suppose to. I can't wait for it to be altered and ironed!

BFF: I can't wait to see the shirt and your face! Come over! Move home.

Ash: I'm so glad I got to see you a couple weekends ago! Move home.

Sooz: I miss you and your panty hose. How's Jesse Jones? Move home.

Matron: Meaur

Meredith: I can't wait to take you on your first Vegas trip!

LETS SING...

Who was a girl scout?
Maaaake new friends, but keep the oooooo-old, one is silver and the uh-ther gooold

Ya'll are probably all to young and modern to remember such tunes, BUT, my point is, that Rachel has come to the obvious realization that Meredith, dear friend of Sisterbaby, would be missing from the alter come May 2nd, and that that simply wouldn't do. So she asked Meredith to join us in our crewe of weepy sniveling hot messiness (though thin, well-toned and suprisingly hot for all being over 26!) on Th' Big Day, and Meredith gracefully obliged. So, welcome Meredith, to our weepy sniviling hot messiness.
We don't know what we're gonna wear, but we will be the hottest things in the room (besides the bride, of course). I'm really pumping myself up for some treadmill time, ya'll getting that????
Here's a better picture of the dress, with Rach in it, and Ashley beside it, and Barack Obama behind it.

Oh and... PLEASE run out and buy Rachy some bedazzled bride things. I presented her with a hoodie the other day with a crown and a bride bedazzle and you would've thought I bought her a house. She's there. Let's shower her in fake rhinestones.

Bachy Party- and I quote " I can't think of anywhere other than Vegas that we could have endless fun." Rachel Ellen

So it is spoken. Check flights for April, I'll research hotels, and I'm going to look for some available naked men. GRRROOOOSSS MEEEE OOOOUUUUUUT! No no no, I can't do it. I can't watch my sister watch naked men. I'll turn inside out. My flesh will peel. I'll cry with embarrasment. We'll have a nice dinner instead and sit by a pool and drink fancy drinks delivered by a partially dressed man. I feel better already. So... research flights and let me know good available long weekends.

I've put uncomfortable thoughts in my head. I have to go,

Today at the

Northwest Arkansas Briday Fair, at approximately 2 pm, I was mistaken for Mother of the Bride at the Arbonne booth. It hurt my feelings. THEN the Arbonne lady tried to back in on up and say that I was hunched over and that I was "tending to [Rachel] in a motherly fashion." Now... I will say, that I have always tended to Rachel in a motherly fashion; however, I hope that even my hunched over angle does not promote an age um... 25 years my senior. Please take no offence REAL M.O.B.! Do I look 31 from the front and 55 from the side? Lets just SAY that Rachel was 20. Reproductively speaking, I would have to be ATLEAST 35 to be her mother, again, IF she was 20. That would still be 4 years older than I really am.
I'm gonna put on some of that face cream that Arbonne lady gave me and contemplate my current hair style.
Matt gets major points. He attended the Bridal Fair as well, but refused to wear his GROOM sticker. I suppose that's fair...
NOW, we need to talk about Bachelorette Party. I would prefer it to happen AFTER February, so I can partake in some alcohol. I need votes, suggestions, and how much people want to spend. Vegas? Beach? Holiday Inn Springdale? Let's open up the talks.

We've said YES to tha DRESS!

Here 'tis everyone. Its THE ONE. Italian silk-satin... it's nice.

It needs a little hemming and an iron, and she's good. to. go.
Other details that have been finalized:
We'll be prancing down the isle at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. I measured it today, and its 75 steps from the sidewalk to the alter... that's A LONG way to smile, so start practicing... I figure this also gives us some time to get all choked up, then get it together by the time anyone can actually see the mascara running down our faces.
We have a photographer. That's all I know.
Today, I, Maiden, and MOG (Mother of the Groom), and Bride went to the Bridal Fair. Now the last one of these I went to in 2004 was over-run with bubble machines and chocolate fountains. This one had it's act cleaned up. I DID spill some lemonade on a display table, but... nobody kicked us out.
I'll get you details and pics as Sisterbaby filters them to me.

I love cake, Matron

MAY 2, 2009

is the date ladies. Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks (I have to think of a shortened moniker for that) is the place. Decisions 1 and 2 are finalized.

Check it out, ya'll. Here we are. I'm the hot one on Rachy's right.
Sisterbaby likes the black and blue. We tried on lots of little hot numbers last weekend... and I think with this one that fit is going to be very importante...
We both agree that knee is lots more flattering than the classic tea length. It didn't do good things for me, and being that I'm the MATRON and all...
Anyway. Points to everyone who commented. I bask in commentary.
Only like 10? months to go until we get this party started.

Peace yo! Matron

Welcome to sisterbaby's wedding site. This is the easiest way for me to send multiple people multiple pictures.
So we've some to some realizations today. First being that Rachel's love of tulle, sparkles, and sprinkles has not diminished since she was 10. I'm glad she had the realization that she does, indeed, want a cupcake dress (with merengue and sprinkels!), as many decisions are based on that. She tried on lots, and kept coming back to THE ONES. We haven't picked THE ONE, but we've narrowed down.
We welcome comments.

Feather duster! No, I kid. This was definately the flashiest, most dramatic dress... but I really liked the shape, and the drop waist, and um... how often can you wear layers upon layers of feather like material and get away with it?? I'd say it's #2 for me.

My personal fav... the high-class cupcake. It's champagne in color, but in no way shouts "I'm dirty!" or whatever else ya'll are thinking. We like the belt... it adds a nice little something. Definately the most sophisticated of the bunch... and we all know how sophisticated Rachel is... whatever!

More of the same... merengue, belt, froof, slim top.

Mmm hmmm. Has a flashy buckle/ faux belt rhinestone thing that would have to come off.

Like it, don't love it.... but nobody would call her ugly in it.

I can only post 5 at a time. We'll see how much people appreciate the site before I spend my time posting more.

Much love, Honored Matron
